The molerat loves corms and bulbs and assists in dispersal by carrying those to a burrow underground where they are consumed at leisure. Some bits of these corms and bulbs are dropped on the way to the burrow and the plant has thus been dispersed to a new site for regrowth. The molerats need to be careful in choice though, because some of these geophytes are defended by potent toxins.
