No. 22
-------------------------------------- February 1997
| From the Editor Apolgies for the long gap since the appearance of Coralline News 21 last March. My laboratory has moved from Hayling Island to Portsmouth which caused a long period of disruption. We are now more or less settled but still without a telephone, the above contact numbers are at my home where I work for much of the time. However, we are now reasonably settled in the new lab and it was a pleasure to have Susse Wegeberg from Copenhagen working there for the last two weeks. She has just started a PhD to revise the Danish crustose corallines which have not been studied since Rosenvinge's classic publication in 1917. I was also delighted to have a fleeting visit from Dr Miyata who had arranged my two visits to his Institute in Chiba, Japan in 1995. I am most grateful to all of you who send me reprints. I only see Phycologia and European Journal of Phycology on a regular basis so I rely on authors for information about papers published elsewhere. Very many thanks to all of you who sent contributions towards the postage of this and future editions of Coralline News, your help is much appreciated. |
